Why I Sell Vintage Decor
Long before this was a shop, it was weekend mornings with my mom, wandering estate sales and thrift stores just to see what we’d find. She’s the reason I fell in love with things that already have a story.
After graduating from San Diego State University, I felt a little lost, like a lot of new grads do. I couldn’t find a career that really lit a fire in me, and I was starting to get discouraged. My mom was the one who saw my gift for finding treasures long before I did, and she gave me the courage to bet on myself and start StayingInLJ.
After my first sale, I was hooked, and knew I had to go all in.
Every time you support this shop, you’re helping me keep alive a tradition that started on those weekend mornings with my mom, and helping me build a life around something I love. Thank you for taking the time to see the effort behind every piece, and for recognizing the quality in what I do.
