Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information StayingInLJ (“we,” “us”) collects when you visit or buy from this site, and what we do with it. There is no account system here - every purchase is made as a guest, and we do not use advertising or analytics tracking scripts of any kind.

Information We Collect

At checkout:payment card details are entered directly on Stripe’s own secure payment page and never pass through our servers. Once a payment is completed, Stripe shares with us the email address you provided and, for local delivery or shipping orders, the delivery address - this is how we know where to send your order and how to reach you about it.

While browsing: we set one cookie, used to remember the contents of your cart between page visits. It contains only a random, unguessable ID - no personal information is stored in the cookie itself, only on our server, matched against that ID. It expires automatically after 30 days.

We also briefly use your browser’s session storage (not a cookie - it clears itself when you close your browser) to remember that you’ve already answered the entry question when you first arrive, so it doesn’t ask again during the same visit.

If you sign up for email updatesin the footer, we store the email address you provide so we can let you know about new arrivals. We won’t use it for anything else, and every email includes a link to unsubscribe at any time.

Who We Share Information With

We only share what’s needed to fulfill your order, with services that help us run the shop:

• Stripe processes payment and collects your email and shipping address (when applicable) directly on their own page.
• Shippo receives the delivery address only for orders being shipped by carrier, in order to calculate rates and generate a shipping label.
• Cloudinary hosts our product photography. No customer information is ever sent there.
• Our email provider sends you an order confirmation, and lets us send an internal notification when an order comes in.

We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, for any reason.

How Long We Keep Order Information

Order records (item purchased, amount, email, and delivery address where applicable) are kept for our own bookkeeping and in case you need to reach us about a past order. Abandoned carts that are never checked out are automatically deleted after 30 days.

Your Choices

Because there’s no account to log into, there’s nothing to delete a login for - but you can always email us at stayinginlj@gmail.com to ask what information we have tied to a past order, or to request it be deleted, and we’ll take care of it directly.
